Why clients compare you on price and how to stop it
Clients compare you on price when the market sees two options that look identical and picks the cheaper one. The fix isn't a lower price, it's positioning: naming your unique method clearly, the specific result you deliver your way, and the reason you're the right choice, not just one option among others.
Where price comparison comes from
A client who asks about price right away isn't necessarily a difficult one. It's a sign they haven't yet understood what makes working with you different from working with someone else in the same field. When price is the only clear information, price becomes the only decision criterion.
This is where positioning comes in: the process of clarifying who you are in the market, what your unique method is, and exactly who it's for. Without it, even a very good expert stays interchangeable in the market's eyes.
Three steps to stop price comparison
1. Name your method
If you work "intuitively" or "in a personalized way", with no name and no clear structure, the client has nothing to compare except price. A method with its own name and recognizable steps becomes something they can't find anywhere else.
2. Show the specific result, not the general process
"I help you grow" sets nobody apart. "I help you move from one-off sessions to a premium offer above 1,000 EUR, with a closing rate above 50%" tells the person exactly what they're buying.
3. Build proof before the conversation
Video content, case studies and testimonials placed where the client already looks for you make the difference visible before the first call. Once the difference is visible, the price conversation becomes secondary.

Lowering your price doesn't solve the problem, it only delays it. A client won on a lower price will be lost to the next, cheaper provider. Positioning moves the conversation to ground where price matters less: the specific, recognizable value only you deliver.
